92300 Anaesthesia, Deep Sedation - a controlled state of depressed consciousness accompanied by partial loss of protective reflexes, including inability to respond purposefully to verbal command. These states apply to any technique that has depressed the patient beyond conscious sedation except general anaesthesia. Any intravenous technique leading to these conditions in a patient including neuroleptanalgesia or anaesthesia, regardless of route of administration, would fall within this category of service.
